Hosting Withdrawal

Kim and I wrapped up a week of hosting yesterday as I took my friend Tony to the airport for his long flight back to Japan. My parents visited us for 4 days beginning last Tuesday. We went up to Maine and New Hampshire to do some day shopping, which turned out to be chocolate shopping at a homemade chocolate shop. We spent a day in Boston where we met up with Joel and Tony to take them sightseeing in Boston, which included lunch at the original "Cheers!", walking the Freedom Trail and a Red Sox game [see photos on post below]. While we were at our apartment, we managed to get in a lot of games included some down-to-the-wire games of Clue. On Saturday Tony, Joel and Allie drove up to spend the rest of the weekend up here, which included a lot of frisbee, Tony's late night chimichangas, Unexplained mysteries, a pancake brunch, and our own worship service in the chapel on campus. Monday, Tony and I had a visit from our friend Muffin and we spent the day shopping as Tony had a list of things that he could really only get over here in the US. This past week has been a lot of fun for Kim and I, but it was nice to have an evening to ourselves last night watching "The Best of Dana Carvey, Saturday Night Live".

For your information, Mr. Miller, I DID work this summer but I figured my fellow co-workers might want more group pics than of me with little kids. lol = )

I do really want to visit soon! I need to call you guys and plan when would be a good time to do so. I don't want to come during a really busy time for either of you. It will depend on whatever job I get too. But I do need to get working on finding my Boston man. ; ) J/K!

Oh, well. I love you guys and I miss you guys! Kim, I sent you a letter in the mail with a cute surprise so let me know when you get it. Talk to you guys soon!

I assumed that victory went without saying, right?

Hello, sounds like you are tired out wonder why. Can't wait to talk with your mom tonight at dinner and hear all about her trip out there. We've been camping and busy as usual. Hope the fabric will work on your chairs. I bought it and never found a use for it glad you can. Post a photo of the chairs when done. Love and miss you,
aunt darleen

Um....Lucas you forgot to say who the big winners in Clue was??? I just love that Miss Scarlet!! Even if she does get to go first all the time. Had a great time. Very fun!! Went by too fast and we were just getting to know our way back to our motel. Aunt Darleen had a birthday dinner at the 211 with us tonight and I gave her the best gift of all...I informed her she was only 57 not 58 like she thought. Good thing she has a baby sister to help her out with her age. You had to be there!!

I had the pics all in order. "Where's Grandma" really cracked grandma up, but Grandpa had a confused look on his face looking at the pictures. Do you think he thought we left him out. I don't even think he knows the "Where's Grandma" Story. Poor Guy.

I guess you're right, but for those less familiar with our level of skill I thought some education might be in order. Any word on whether Tony ever made it back?

Joel, Tony is indeed back and you can view some of his new salad art at his blog. Denise, I could inform everyone that you won the first two games and I won the last two games, but what's the point?
