Downs & Ups

Once again the March Madness brackets have been a humbling experience. once again I was in first place after the first day and then fell an amazing 50 some places onto the second page of our listings. Once again, my stinking brother will defeat me. Most amazingly my sister is in first place having correctly selected all four of the final four teams. Life is in warp speed right now as I try to finish my reading, two sermons and two papers for the semester. I am very much enjoying getting to know the Westgate family as I am visiting two to three couples/ individuals a week. Our home fellowship group are preparing to host a prayer room the Tuesday of Holy Week (April 3). If you have any ideas or have experienced a prayer room before, let us know by leaving a comment. We promise to be more faithful once the semester is over and we have moved. Love for you to pray for us concerning that as our budget will be tight and housing is EXTREMELY expensive out of here. Out of control expensive. Oh well. We know that if God has called us here, he will provide the right place for us. Take care everybody!

Kim and Lucas, We do pray that God will lead you to a home that meeets all your needs. So many new doors are opening for you both now. It is an exciting time, and also can be an anxious time. Thankfully we can remember Scripture's teaching to not worry or be anxious about anything, but instead take our cares to God in prayer with thanksgiving for His answers. You are in the palms of His hands. Love and prayers, NE Grandma and Grandpa

I just want to say that Loralee and I have something in common this year, as I too have selected all the correct final four teams! I didn't have time to enter your group, though, so I'm just in the pool at work. I wish I had joined your group, because Loralee and I could have triumphantly shared first place!

Lucas & Kim... I pray everytime I think of you's which is often. I know just the right place is waiting for you. Lucas at least you are ahead of Kim and I. We are sharing bottom honors with our dear Rosey. Indy Niece should have gotten in the pool. I'm sure Loralee is glad right now that she didn't. Looking forward to next year's March Madness!! I'm going to study up and do my homework. God Bless you both. See you in MAY!!

L&K, shoot me an email with your schedule for the weekend of April 13-15 -- I know you guys are super busy, but it'd be great to hang out for a half-day or so, if you've got time. Are you guys planning to come out & watch the marathon?

God is GOOD, and I'm sure that your housing situation will work its way out. You have my prayers as you continue to adjust to your life out East.

Also, wishing you and incredibly blessed Easter.

much love,

Hi Kim and Lucas. I join Meggen in wishing you both a blessed Easter. Jon went in this morning to have his own stem cells transplanted back into his body in procedures for the next 2 weeks. He is, as always in incredibly great spirits and is such an inspiration to us all. His address is Jon Ryan, 6th floor, Methodist Cancer Center, 8303 Dodge St. Omaha NE, 68114. He will be there until the 13th. Lots of love and prayers, NE Grandma and Grandpa
