Car Talk
So when it rains it pours. We have had to take our car into the shop three times in two weeks. But I am happy to say that she is purring like a kitten again. New tires, new tire rod, new brakes, new rotors, and an alignment were the remedy. While our pocketbook took a hit, we received a surprise blessing from Somerset Congregation Church: some Christmas money to help us in whatever way we needed. Well, it was certainly apparent in what way it was needed. On a brighter note (literally), Kim is receiving here Christmas present tomorrow as we fly to Sarasota, FL to see her Grandparents from Fri until Mon. We'll post when we return!

Keeping Pre-Occupied
So I know it's been almost two weeks, but the reason for new post is not due to lack of time, it's due to lack of content. I am a week away from finishing my January class "Christ in the Old Testament" and Kim has been at work. That pretty much sums things up. We have been spending a good deal of time becoming reacquainted with an old friend, cable TV. Kim got me it for Christmas so I could watch ESPN, specifically watch more Detroit Pistons' games, which I will be doing tonight. We have been watching a ton of HGTV and TLC (and by "we," I mean Kim). We do enjoy watching Whose Line is it Anyway? on ABC Family every night at 10:00. We have become addicted to Fox's "24" and are so happy that American Idol is back on. I have also enjoyed watching the History channel as well. You may wonder where I get all the time to do this? I work hard during the day so I can have my evenings with Kim. Oh and we have given in and joined the craze in our building for playing this boardgame call "Settlers." It's a great mix of chance and strategy. So, that is all for now.

Go Huskers!
I know that it has taken me a while to create this post, but I needed to give my husband a significant mourning period. I have to say that I was dreading the game, and even almost hoping my team wouldn't win (because I have to say that in our marriage Lucas is the better winner and I am the better loser...), but I was extremely happy to see the score at the end. I will also say that is was by far some of the worst officiating I have ever seen, and I don't think I will ever see another game with a more bizarre ending. But I personally thought the entire game was perfectly suited to our situation. Now, I can forever say that my team won, and Lucas can forever blame it on the refs!
