I just found your blog through your last email ... now I'm going to be your blog stalker :) In any case, my name (caroline ruth) means womanly and faithful friend. AJ's name means the deceiver ... ha, ha. Elaina's name means "torch light, bright one, blessing" Anyway, my personal favorite name for God is from Revelation ... "Morning Glory".Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13112736.post-6910224587405512712007-03-11T12:16:00.000-04:002007-03-11T12:16:00.000-04:00What a fascinating class, Lucas! (for Abba Father) A Papa loves His child beyond words with tenderness, appreciation, and delight in everything about His child, but He expects much of His child and will discipline at a moment's notice. ( A 'Daddy' might let his child get away with things)
With a Papa, His child can climb in His lap any time she wants and know He will hug her.
Papa God's childAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13112736.post-57867185594827403892007-03-08T13:51:00.000-05:002007-03-08T13:51:00.000-05:00Hey guys,It's hard to pick a favorite name for God...Hey guys,
It's hard to pick a favorite name for God, because He is so many things at so many times in our lives. I have often pondered Yahweh/Jehovah, and it concerns me sometimes that we don't place much reverence on His name that the OT people did. And then there's Abba - kindof the opposite name where He is close and touchable.

My name means "white wave". Maybe that's why I can't seem to tan.

And I got your comment in reply to my other one. As far as we know, Jason doesn't have a twin, and he looks too much like his parents to be adopted! :) But you never know...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13112736.post-2902871764389953372007-03-08T09:31:00.000-05:002007-03-08T09:31:00.000-05:00Hi Brenna,"I AM WHO I AM" from Exodus 3, is a very...Hi Brenna,

"I AM WHO I AM" from Exodus 3, is a very powerful name. So powerful as you probably already know that it was not even uttered by ancient Israel. They wouldn't even give it vowel points b/c no one would think to pronounce it anyway. So even today we are not sure how it is to be pronounced. I AM comes from the Hebrew "to be" verb and means that God is Self-Existent. "The Self-Existent One," He does not depend on anything else for his continued existence. Raven-haired, eh? That must be some dark haired people. Take care.ldmillerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01631848294363449249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13112736.post-12749578662434360932007-03-07T23:22:00.000-05:002007-03-07T23:22:00.000-05:00Hi Lucas and Kim,I really like I AM as a name for ...Hi Lucas and Kim,
I really like I AM as a name for God.
